Faculty, staff and students may now access Lexis-Nexis at no charge, thanks to the MSU Libraries.
By joining a consortium of libraries from the Southeast, MSU Libraries was able to subscribe to the web-based news and information service at a fraction of the cost to an individual.
"While not the best site for scholarly articles, Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe is an excellent source for current events and news, legal and government information, as well as business news and corporate information," said Stephen Cunetto, coordinator of systems at Mitchell Memorial Library.
Access is provided through the World Wide Web at <www.lexis-nexis.com/universe>. Academic Universe also may be accessed by going to the library site <nt.library.msstate.edu> and selecting Online Resources.
