Dr. George Verrall, head of the Department of Finance and Economics, is the university's candidate for a six-year term on the Public Employees' Retirement System board.
Verrall is vying for the Insitutions of Higher Learning spot along with its current representative, Dr. Richard C. Miller, associate dean of the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Ballots will be mailed out to PERS members by the Department of Human Resources Management. All ballots, used or unused, must be returned to HRM by Oct. 1.
