

Alumni Fellows to visit Oct. 18 - 20
Eight leaders in the areas of industry, private business, insurance, equine medicine, and education are the 1998 Alumni Fellows.
Sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association, the annual fellows program brings accomplished graduates back to campus to share experiences and offer advice to current students and faculty members. Chosen by each college and school, they carry the title permanently.
This year's honorees will visit campus Oct. 18-20. They include:
- Charles R. Dismuke Jr. of Greenville, president of Deltapine Seed, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He received a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering technology and business in 1977.
- Daria F. Pizzetta, of New York City, director of interiors for Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, School of Architecture. She received her bachelor's degree in 1983.
- William C. Mattox of Arlington, Va., executive vice president in the federal government affairs division of Mutual of Omaha Cos., College of Arts and Sciences. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in political science in 1972 and 1973, respectively.
- Shirley F. Olson of Jackson, president of Olson Consulting Group, College of Business and Industry. She received a bachelor's degree in business in 1969 and a doctorate in 1978 in finance.
- Susan H. Steward of Arlington, Va., eighth-grade physical science teacher at Williamsburg Middle School, College of Education. She received a bachelor's degree in biology education in 1976.
- James L. Flanagan of Warren, N.J., vice president for research at Rutgers University, College of Engineering. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1948.
- Tony R. Parks of Memphis, Tenn., chief executive officer and president of Anderson Tully Co., College of Forest Resources. He received a bachelor's degree in forestry in 1973.
- Dr. D. Keith Merritt of Wauconda, Ill., president of Fox River Valley Equine Clinic, College of Veterinary Medicine. He received a doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 1984.
