Distance programs topic of March 5 presentation

An expert on management from the University of Tennessee will discuss distance-education programs at a March 5 interactive presentation.

Dr. Michael J. Stahl, associate dean and professor of management in the College of Business Administration at the Knoxville campus, will share his ideas at the 8:30-9:30 a.m. public program in the new distance-learning classroom, 139B McCool Hall. The presentation will be linked electronically to MSU-Meridian.

At Tennessee, Stahl works with an innovative web-based master's degree program targeting health-care executives and physicians. Participants spend only four weeks on the Knoxville campus, taking the rest of their classes on Saturday mornings over the Internet.

Because seating is limited, those interested in attending should respond promptly to Shirley Thompson at 325-1891.
