

The competition for Fulbright Lecturing and Research Grants for 2000-2001 is open with an Aug. 1 deadline for applications.
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers opportunities to college and university faculty and professionals outside academe in all disciplines and professional fields for lecturing or advanced research in more than 130 countries.
U.S. citizenship and a doctorate or comparable professional qualifications are required. For lecturing awards, university or college teaching experience is expected. Foreign language skills are needed in some countries, but most lecturing assignments are in English.

Dodson was a lecturer at the Tashkent State Medical Institute in Uzbekistan in 1996 and will be happy to talk to faculty who are interested in submitting an application.
