Learn to relax, unwind during special days

Feeling anxious about anything? Take a load off by attending Anxiety Screening Days April 21 and 22.

The Counseling Center and Longest Student Health Center are co-hosting the event in the Colvard Union.

'We are offering Anxiety Screening Days to educate the faculty, staff and students regarding stress and anxiety," explained Ann Rizer, health educator at the student health center. "We will look at what anxiety is, how our bodies respond to it, and how to identify positive and effective ways to cope."

Relaxation training will be offered twice a day-11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Confidential screenings also will be offered 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day and appropriate referrals will be made.

On April 22nd, stress and relaxation will be addressed during a brown-bag lunch for faculty and staff.

In addition, a display and more information will be available each day, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the union lobby.

For more information, contact Rizer at 325-7545 or the Counseling Center at 325-2091.
