Dr. Joe F. Thompson is now serving as the university's interim Chief Information Officer.
As a member of the Executive Council, he provides reports directly to the president, providing advice on information technology matters affecting the university.
Thompson is a Giles Distinguished Professor and a founder of MSU's National Science Foundatio/Engineering Research Center.
