

![]() Federal district judge Norma Holloway Johnson (c) was on campus recently to receive the 1999 Distinguished Jurist Award from MSU's Pre-Law Society. Chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, she has overseen the grand jury process in the independent counsel's investigation of President Bill Clinton. Welcoming her to campus were Dr. Diane Wall of Political Science, (l) the society's adviser, and senior Renae Alford of Starkville, the organization's 1998-99 president. |
