![]() Stop, look, listen near Hilbun Because of extensive excavation work under way at Hilbun Hall, all street parking in front of the building will be prohibited through most of December. University officials said Nov. 1 that the work involves storm drain placements and building weatherproofing. As a result, heavy truck traffic in and out of the work site will increase considerably. To ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and campus visitors, construction workers have barricades along the Hilbun sidewalk. Foot traffic is being directed to the sidewalk on the south side of Lee Boulevard. Pedestrians are being asked to use extreme caution when crossing streets in front of Hilbun, and to obey all detour signs. The four-story brick structure, located at the busy intersection of Lee Boulevard and Hardy Road, is undergoing a $6.5 million renovation. |
