Music, refreshments and Santa Claus will be part of the festivities as several university sorority houses open their doors for "A Holiday Affair" on Dec. 5, 3-6 p.m., to benefit the American Heart Association.
"Opening these beautifully decorated homes is a great way to help the American Heart Association," said Wanda Thorne, event organizer and AHA board member. "Many MSU supporters and area residents have never toured the houses, and this is a great time of the year to see them.
The event is sponsored jointly by the MSU Panhellenic Council, AHA and the Starkville Visitors and Convention Council.
Tickets to tour all seven homes are $10 for adults, $15 for couples and $5 for students. Children under 12 are free with an adult. Tickets may be purchased from the Starkville AHA office in Deposit Guaranty National Bank, Main Street, or by telephoning 323-7178; the visitors council, 322 University Drive, 324-3322; or from sorority members. They also will be available at the doors. All ticket purchases are tax deductible.
