The Seventh Annual Faculty Research Orientation Workshop will be held Sept. 13 in the Swalm Auditorium (1st Floor). Participants will learn about research administration, funding opportunities and support services provided through several campus offices, including the Office of the Vice President for Research. During the workshop, a Research Travel Awards Program competition will be announced. To be eligible to receive one of two $1,000 travel awards, applicants must attend all orientation workshop sessions and functions and submit a one-page research concept paper following the orientation workshop describing how the funds will be used to develop a research concept. Details on submission of the research concept papers will be covered at the workshop.
Please RSVP workshop attendance by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. An agenda for the workshop will soon be posted on the Sponsored Programs Administration web page. The workshop and Research Travel Awards Program are open to all faculty members. To register, visit the web site at http://www.msstate.edu/dept/spa/calendar.html.
