For the first time, the President’s Commission on the Status of Women will present its annual outstanding women awards at a free, public March 28 reception.

The reception honoring the award winners will be held 2-4 p.m. in the John Grisham Room of Mitchell Memorial Library.

PCSW annually recognizes the accomplishments of women on campus, in the community and in the state. In the past, the winners were recognized at an annual luncheon.

Among MSU employment categories are executive/administrative; faculty; professional; non-faculty; technical/paraprofessional; secretarial/clerical; skilled crafts; and service/maintenance. Undergraduate and graduate students also are honored.

The awards are co-sponsored by the Starkville branch of AmSouth Bank.
