CVM plans open house
Students at the College of Veterinary Medicine will hold the 17th annual open house April 6 and 7 at the Wise Center. On schedule for the event are a petting zoo, tours of the hospital complex and educational exhibits. CVM faculty and students will be on hand to answer questions about health care for large and small animals. Demonstrations will include working sheep dogs, police dogs and dog obedience. The public also can see several horse exhibits, including draft horses, horse shoeing, and various riding performances. Demonstrations on wild and pet birds and reptiles also will take place. Special exhibits on aquarium medicine will be available each day. Open house begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. both days. Admission is free.
