Library provides usage sessions
Mitchell Memorial Library is providing a series of informational sessions for faculty, staff and students entitled "How to Use Your Library." Of special interest to new employees but open to everyone, the summer sessions provide a general orientation to the library. Each session covers identical content, so participants can attend a session at a time convenient for them. All take place in the first-floor Giles electronic classroom. Topics to be covered in each session include an overview of library services; searching Galaxy, the library's online catalog; searching EBSCOhost databases; locating materials in the library; and navigating its web site. Registration is not required; participants may drop in on the session of their choice. Attendance vouchers will be provided upon request. Session dates and times follow: * Tuesday, June 12, noon-1 p.m. * Wednesday, June 13, 10-11 a.m. * Tuesday, July 10, noon-1 p.m. * Wednesday, July 11, 10-11 a.m. * Monday, July 16, noon-1 p.m. * Thursday, July 19, 10-11 a.m. For more information, contact Beth Ashmore at bashmore@library.msstate.edu or 662-325-3834. |
