The Office of Research has scheduled 2001 and 2002 flights to the Stennis Space Center via Aircraft Operations as well as to Washington, D.C.

Seats are available for MSU faculty and staff with official business with agencies located on the Gulf Coast. The plane flies into Stennis International Airport near Bay St. Louis.

Dr. Ray Crochet, director of the MSU Science and Technology Center at Stennis, serves as the university's liaison with federal agencies on site. Visitors should contact Crochet to schedule and coordinate meetings by telephoning (228) 688-3227.

Individual travelers must reserve their seats by telephoning Joan Pritchett, administrative assistant, at 325-3571, or by e-mailing her at joan@research.msstate.edu. Cancellation must be made 48 hours prior to departure. The plane will not take MSU passengers at SSC to MSU.

One roundtrip flight is scheduled each month:

Sept. 12, Oct. 16, Nov. 15, Feb. 13, March 14, April 17, May 14 and June 12. All flights depart Starkville at 7:30 a.m. and arrive at Bay St. Louis at 8:30 a.m. They leave the coast at 5 p.m., arriving back in Starkville at 6 p.m.

To schedule Washington, D.C., flights, contact Debbie Richardson, flight scheduling coordinator, at Aircraft Operations at 325-3010 or at drichardson@acops.com. Participants must complete an MSU Aircraft Trip Request form with the appropriate approval signatures and forward it to Aircraft Operations at Mail Stop 9822 or fax it to 325-7634 at least two days prior to departure.

Oct. 10, depart Starkville, 7 a.m.; arrive D.C., 10:30 a.m. Oct. 11, depart D.C., 6 p.m.; arrive Starkville, 8 p.m.

Nov. 19, depart Starkville, 7 a.m.; arrive D.C., 10:30 a.m. Nov. 20, depart D.C., 6 p.m.; arrive Starkville, 8 p.m.

Feb. 19, depart Starkville, 7 a.m.; arrive D.C., 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20, depart D.C., 6 p.m.; arrive Starkville, 8 p.m.

March 12, depart Starkville, 7 a.m.; arrive D.C., 10:30 a.m. March 13, depart D.C., 6 p.m.; arrive Starkville, 8 p.m.
