Minchew, Kirk named to two new posts in College of Education administration
Two faculty members recently were named to administrative roles in the College of Education. Dr. Sue S. Minchew is the new assistant dean of education and coordinator of the college's National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education review and Dr. Pamela Kirk is the interim head of the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Sport. A 30-year veteran of the university, Minchew was named a John Grisham Master Teacher in 1993. She also received the Phi Delta Kappa Outstanding University Teaching Award in 2000. Previously, she was an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Kirk, a professor of physical education, succeeds Dr. Ned Lovell who also serves as head of the Department of Educational Leadership. Kirk recently was honored with the college's Circle of Excellence Award. |
