An expert on the Lakota Indians of the Northern Great Plains will present a public lecture Oct. 29.

Dr. Dale Stover, professor of philosophy and religion at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, will speak at 4:30 p.m. in 102 Hilbun Hall on "The Lakota Sun Dance: One Hundred Years of Resistance."

Stover's lecture is sponsored by the Cobb Institute of Archaeology, the Anthropology Club, the Department of Philosophy and Religion, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
