Spring Clean Sweep cleans up for April 13
Faculty, staff and student volunteers are being recruited for a springtime version of last fall's successful Operation Clean Sweep.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 13, participants will lend a hand to the Campus Landscape Department by mulching, weeding, trimming, and collecting litter.
The spring spruce-up is intended to help make the campus look its best as the university prepares to welcome thousands of visitors during the next several weeks for Super Bulldog Weekend, Commencement and new student Orientation.
Clean Sweep volunteers will be treated to supper on the Drill Field at 5 p.m. and will receive a souvenir T-shirt. Departmental supervisors are being asked to be flexible in arranging work schedules to allow willing volunteers to be a part of the effort.
Faculty and staff who are willing to work for any amount of time between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on April 13 may volunteer by providing their names to one of the volunteer area coordinators listed below. Volunteers are asked to sign up by April 9, if possible.
