Mississippi Statistical Abstract now available
With listings as diverse as the number of law enforcement employees, county housing units, residents in the labor force, public school enrollments, and divorces, Mississippi State again is providing the most varied collection of statistics about the state found in one publication.
The 36th annual Mississippi Statistical Abstract is available from the College of Business and Industry. The 652-page collection is compiled by the Office of Business Research and Services in both softcover and on CD. This year's CD features data in both Acrobat (PDF) and Excel spreadsheet formats.
Divided into 18 sections, the abstract covers virtually every major area of the state. Sections include tax structures; populations; health and vital statistics; education labor force employment and earnings; manufacturing and trade; transportation; communications; banking, finance and insurance; law enforcement, courts and crime; forest and mineral products; public finance and tax revenues; social insurance and welfare services; government and politics; construction, housing and public utilities; agriculture; geography and climate; and recreation and gaming.
Printed copies are $40 each, plus $4 postage; CDs are $50 each, plus $1.50 postage. There is no postage charge for on-campus orders.
