Temperatures may be in the 90s and trees in full bloom, but Famous Maroon Band Director Elva Kay Lance fall football season is less than a month away. From her perch at the marching group's practice field, the Famous Maroon Band director welcomed some 250 members to a recent practice session. Like football players, the MSU musicians make their 2004 debut Sept. 4 at a home game with Tulane University.
