With the blessing of Mississippi State officials, university alumni Jeff and Glenna Hartsog of Jackson buried on campus a former pet that once served as school mascot "Bully." In a private ceremony recently beneath Scott Field's north end-zone bleachers, "Humphrey Hartsog," an AKC-registered English bulldog who died July 5, was laid to rest. The grandson of a former Bully, Humphrey held the mascot role from October 1999 to August 2001.
