MSU, Alabama libraries establish reciprocal agreement

As a convenience to library patrons, the MSU and University of Alabama libraries have established a reciprocal agreement that allows students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from each institution.

"Circulation policies are set by each institution, but MSU library patrons may show valid college identification and be allowed to check out materials from several libraries on the Tuscaloosa campus," said Stephen Cunetto, system administrator for the MSU Libraries.

U.A.'s library system includes the Gorgas-the anchor facility-and the Bruno (business), McLure (education) and Rodgers (science and engineering) branches.

Each institution's library system ensures compliance with its own policies and collects any fines owed, Cunetto added.

For more information about the borrowing agreement, telephone Michael Donahoo, coordinator of access services, at 325-7664.
