Parking changes in place for Suttle and Hightower halls

To prepare for construction of a new residence hall on the north side of campus, parking will be greatly reduced in the lot behind Suttle Hall for the duration of the work.

Barriers now in place mark areas that are inaccessible during the construction period.

A current one-way entrance road along the east side of the nine-story men's residence facility on Barr Avenue is now two-way. While parking on the entrance road has been eliminated, handicap parking spaces immediately behind Suttle remain open.

Parking lot closures will remain in effect for football game-day parking.

Also, in preparation for the pending demolition of now-vacant Hightower Hall, the parking lot of that "boomerang hall" also is closed.

As a result, parking at Critz, an adjacent "boomerang" residence, requires an alternate traffic flow, although its parking lots remain open. To accommodate this change, residents are being encouraged to use the lot to the east of adjacent Smith Hall.
