2004 Health Fair is Sept. 22 at Sanderson Center
From mini-massages to vision screening to blood sugar screening, faculty and staff members can find it all at the university's Sept. 22 Health Fair.
This year's event is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Joe Frank Sanderson Center. Sponsors include the Department of Human Resources Management, Professional and Support Staff Advisory Council, Robert Holland Faculty Senate, Longest Student Health Center, and Employee Benefits Committee.
Prior to fair day, employees should receive a flyer through the mail listing the event schedule and featuring a tear-off portion that may be used to register for door prizes.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield and other benefit providers will have representatives available along the center concourse, while three rooms will be used for health-related presentations.

Oktibbeha County Hospital will participate in the Health Fair as part of its Partners in Health program. A representative of the Longest Student Health Center's HIT'M program will offer blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and body mass index screening. In addition, an area optometrist will conduct vision screenings and several health food-related providers will participate. Company representatives will supply giveaways for participants.
