Seeking experts
To respond to media queries on topics ranging from automotive advances to zebra mussels, the Office of University Relations maintains a database of faculty and staff expertise. The regularly updated listing, published on the university Web site, can be searched by those interested in locating experts on specific topics. Those in the database may be contacted directly by a reporter, or by a University Relations staff member assisting a reporter.
Faculty or staff members with expertise in a specific area may contribute information for the listing at http://www.msstate.edu/web/experts/ . Topics may be selected from a pulldown menu, or may be added individually. Once the information is entered, individuals may update or modify their entries at any time. Entries will be read for accuracy before online publication. For more information, contact the News Bureau at 325-7454.
