Heavy-equipment operators recently removed the last vestiges of the former Hamlin Residence Hall. Completed in 1966 at a cost of $1.5 million, the seven-story, 500-bed facility originally housed upperclass male students. In later years, the red-brick-and-concrete structure at East Lee Boulevard and Barr Avenue was home to upperclass women.
