ESPN2 to telecast spring football finale
ESPN2 will televise Mississippi State’s April 9 spring-ending final football scrimmage nationally.
The game, which begins at 1 p.m., will be played at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field as part of Super Bulldog Weekend activities.
“This is unprecedented in the history of Mississippi State University,” Director of Athletics Larry Templeton said. “To have national television exposure from our campus at this time of the year is a tremendous benefit to our athletic program and for our football team. We have had a great relationship with ESPN through the years, and we look forward to having ESPN2 back on our campus.”
Mississippi State is one of only two schools to have its final spring scrimmage or game televised by ESPN2. South Carolina’s intra-squad contest will be aired the following Saturday, April 16.
