More than 200 people joined longtime higher education proponent S. Bryce Griffis (at podium) Sept. 3 to break ground on a new residence hall to be named in his honor. Speaking from the grand lobby of the newly opened Roy H. Ruby Residence Hall, Griffis described his 40 years in higher education. The 115,000-square-foot facility to be built east of Ruby Hall also will house the University Honors Program.
