Visual Identity Standards

The Mississippi State University Visual Identity Standards were established in 1992 with the introduction of a new university wordmark and revised university seal. The objective was to provide flexibility to individual units, yet maintain an element of consistency to help distinguish our university from others. The continued use of these visual identity standards by the campus community is integral in building public awareness of our institution and showing support for its mission.

Just as times change, so have applications and demands for the university's visual identity. To meet these needs, the university's Symbols and Trademarks Committee, in conjunction with the University Licensing Office, has updated and revised the original guidelines. Please read these revisions to be aware of the changes.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in continuing the effort toward a consistent and coordinated identity for our university.
